What Deets is

Deets is a free life-admin hub for New Zealand households. It keeps every renewal, expiry and detail — WOF, rego, dog registration, council rates, passports, insurance, and more — in one place, and shows what forgetting one actually costs. It's fully free: no pack fee, no add-caps. Where a partner comparison or switch is genuinely live, Deets earns a disclosed referral commission for making the introduction — never a fee charged to you.

Deets is an organiser, not an adviser. It doesn't give financial or legal advice, and every real comparison always sits below the free, do-it-yourself route for the same thing — the free option is never hidden behind a paid one.

What Deets isn't

There's no document vault, no upload button, no photo storage. Deets keeps the useful fields off an ID — the number, the expiry, who issued it — and never an image. There's no document to leak, because none is ever taken.

The honesty rule

Every number Deets publishes is real and sourced, not estimated. The council rates due dates and penalties on the rates hub are pulled from each council's own site, not guessed — where a council hasn't published something yet, the page says so plainly instead of filling the gap with a plausible-sounding figure. The same standard applies to every guide: a real answer, checked, with its source shown, or it doesn't get written.

Where Deets earns money — a disclosed referral commission when you switch through a partner — that's stated on the page it happens on, never hidden in the fine print. Ranking is never for sale: a partner pays for the introduction, not for a better position on the page.

The mark

Deets means the details, and every answer the product gives is a label-and-value pair — Bin day: Tuesday. The lowercase "d" and colon in the Deets mark are that voice as a glyph, not decoration.
