“Dog registration page: 'Registrations are due Tuesday, June 30. Remember your payment needs to be made by June 30 each year. Penalty fees will be added to any dogs registered after Friday, July 31.' Restated identically in the fee-table notes: 'Dog registration fees are due by 30 June and must be paid by 31 July to avoid penalties... from 1 August the applicable fee will increase by 50 percent as provided for in the Dog Control Act 1996.' The penalty does not apply within 14 days of acquiring a dog or of the dog turning three months old.”, Waipā District Council's own wording.
